Roof Coating Disclosure
Protection with clear expectations.
A roof coating is a protective maintenance or restoration system applied over a qualifying existing roof. It is not a complete roof replacement or an unconditional promise that every roof will remain leak-free for a stated number of years.
Applies Across Roof-Coating Systems
This blanket disclosure explains conditions shared across multiple compatible roof-coating materials. The selected system, preparation, coverage, application requirements and any project-specific commitments are identified separately in the written proposal, Service Agreement and current material documents.
Southern Arizona Exposure
Prolonged sun and heat, repeated temperature changes, monsoon rain, wind, dust, hail and standing water can accelerate wear or cause damage independent of the coating material or its application.
Material Warranty
Any duration printed on a label or published by a supplier refers to that supplier’s limited material warranty and its conditions. It is not an automatic EZ-Koatings labor warranty or a guarantee against every leak, weather event or roof condition.
Workmanship Coverage
Any EZ-Koatings workmanship coverage must be stated in the signed Service Agreement. It applies only to the work and period expressly identified there and does not enlarge a separate material warranty.
Existing Roof Conditions
A coating does not automatically correct trapped moisture, saturated insulation, failing decking, structural movement, inadequate drainage or defects outside the contracted preparation and coating scope.
Owner Care Matters
Inspection and maintenance help protect the system.
- Inspect the roof at least every six to eight months and after severe weather.
- Keep drains, scuppers, gutters and drainage paths clear of debris.
- Limit roof traffic and protect the surface from tools, equipment and later trades.
- Report leaks, cracks, blisters, splits, peeling or impact damage promptly.
- Keep the agreement, completion records and available material documents.
The downloadable acknowledgment supplements the written proposal and Service Agreement; it does not replace them. Project-specific scope, selected system, coverage, warranty eligibility, maintenance responsibilities and workmanship terms are controlled by the signed agreement and applicable current material documents. Nothing in this disclosure waives rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be waived.
